Owen-Ness is a hip hop artist that was born in Brooklyn New York, but resided in New Jersey from since the age of seven. He's a metaphorical lyricist that's heavily influenced by Drake, Kendrick Lamar, & Jay Z. Both his parents are from the Caribbean islands so exposure to reggae music was a constant for him growing up. His mother, Guyanese, His Father Jamaican, and together they both helped broaden Owen's musical horizon. Owen-Ness is also a renown audio engineer in the city of Hackensack, and he was given the name "Master Of The Mix" after working on various mixtapes from aspiring emcees on the come up in New Jersey. Everyone knows Owen-Ness for his signature Phrase "ooiigghhtt" however this was the slogan that his senior graduating class formulated. The initial slogan was "09 OOIIGGHHTT" so as a tribute to his peers and to the city that raised him, he personalized the phrase and made it his own. Owen's latest project is called " The return of owen" (AVAILABLE ON ITUNES) released at the ending of 2017 after a three year hiatus from creating. Finally back in action, Owen-Ness is ready to reach heights never before reached by a rapper coming out of his city. This time around he's focusing on inspiring and motivating his people, being a positive role model for children and giving back to the community by doing charity work. Owen-Ness will be an iconic figure in hip hop, and with a motto and mind set like "No limitation" he is certainly an artist worth keeping an eye on...
