This was a bit rushed, but hopefully gets across the combination of anticipation, excitement and apprehension I think we all feel  in times of significant change. You can say the abrupt ending represents a lack of foresight about what will happen in the future. Or you can say I ran out of time and inspiration to finish it, your choice :)

Week 9 Theme - Greed.

I think my original idea was great. However, something was lost in translation during the writing process.  My recording was sloppy and the arrangement doesn't feel right. It ended up feeling rather lacklustre. However I'm still happy that I attempted to capture the idea.

Greed can be insidious and consuming. Yet it is beautiful and innate to all of us - greed is desire, ambition, striving for something better.

This was supposed to be for songaweek Week 33 but that doesn't seem to be happening at the moment. Hopefully something like normal service will be resumed soon.

Anyway, this was inspired by a comment from a work colleague - for the avoidance of doubt, the music is entirely written and recorded by me (nominally human, maybe), NOT generated by AI. 

However, the voiceover is computer-generated, the words are AI-generated, and the cover image is AI art.

All the musical sounds (not percussion or FX) were generated using AAS Ultra Analog VA-3.

I used the Audiority Chorus Ensembler plugin to get the guitar sound, which emulates the Boss CE-1 pedal.

Synthetic vocals by Emvoice Jay. This one actually suits Jay's voice down to the ground.
