I wrote several pieces for D.C. Alden's "Fortress", and while this particular one wasn't actually used in the final cut, I still think it shows a nice example of the lower register of the violin.

This piece (written, recorded and produced by myself)  was pitched at a Timotei shampoo advertising campaign in 2010. At a couple of points there are specific queues at which the music captured the movement of some exotic ingredients in the product.

Bespoke music for a short animated film, telling the abstract story of a man who after gazing into a fish tank for too long in transported inside it - and into a colourful and unusual world.  The music is synced with scene changes, hence its rhapsodic nature.

Owen has developed his style as a composer through a combination of influences - prominently World music and Western classical music, though minimalism, jazz and contemporary electronic music also contribute significantly. He has written for TV commercials and drama, for films and most recently for video games. He has experience performing as a classical pianist, as a vocalist in multiple bands and as a studio multi-instrumentalist.
