My hour long mix for San Diego based DPSM presents' El of 8 radio- which streamed on Internet public Radio October 15th, 2022.

"Archangel is a multidisciplinary creative- but most know her work as a DJ and producer. She's part of the Ice Cream Social crew in Richmond, VA, one of the cuties in Body Hack in New York, is in a production duo named INDEX, & ½ of BLVCKPUNX- a noise rap conglomerate.

People often ask her what kind of music she plays and her answer is Black music. Gay Music. Transgender music.

She fell in love with Philly, Baltimore, and Jersey club road trips with her parents to Philadelphia
to visit family. Similarly Florida breaks, bounce
music, and Miami bass when traveling down south to her family members’ house. In those road trips, she was always playing video games in the back of the car- and you can hear the influence from her favorite soundtracks- shining through in her production & dj sets.  However, she’s been surrounded by a plethora of genres in music the entirety of her life that have immeasurably impacted her creativity when it comes to sound.

Whether it's as a DJ or a producer, her goal is to create and build a world where the walls of expectation can be met & broken at the same time to create something new. Something that has you engaged and locked in- you don’t want to leave the dancefloor or hit pause. 

No matter the medium- the club, your car, or in your room- she provides the listener a pathway to dive into their own imagination & emotions,
surrounded by feelings of bliss, exhilaration, comedy and relaxation. 'Or, I scare the hoes on purpose, which can be very constructive sometimes. Can't get too comfortable.'

Although she spends most of her time performing on the East coast, she says she’s been blessed to have done a California tour, has recently come back to play shows in the Bay Area, & work on music in San Diego. She’s been busy working on finishing  her first solo LP, which will be released through one of her favorite collectives and labels since she started to DJ. This mix includes a sneak peek of some of those exclusive tracks. Keep a look out for that solo LP soon!"
