Phrixus returns with the next instalment of Random Beats & Pieces, a series of hard drive extraditions manifested as self releases.

Effortlessly sliding between fragments of bmore, footwork, sci-fi film music, noise and IDM, the EP showcases the wildly rich tapestry of influences and sounds the London-based beat maker and sound designer is known for.

'Bmore>STAND UP!’ hits hard with an arrangement aimed squarely at the dance floor. A brutal brass line dominates the opening, with influences clearly discerned from Rod Lee and DJ Technic’s Bmore club productions, before the tune’s effortlessly simplistic and wickedly effective main focus pulls in.

@djfarsight is back on Scuffed Recordings with three new transatlantic bass heaters on his El Mago EP.

Since his earliest releases, Farsight has become a go-to name for high-impact club tracks that defy categorisation. With appearances on labels like Femme Culture, Tropopause, and [Re]sources, the San Francisco-based artist has continuously evolved and embellished his sound across the course of his career, tapping into myriad global styles on each of his tracks.

El Mago is Farsight’s third EP with UK label Scuffed, continuing a relationship that began with 2019’s Oaktown EP and followed up with his Renegade EP in 2021. Most recently, Farsight appeared with his Breaka collab ‘Flow State’.

As ever picking from a wide palette of influences from across the club music spectrum, Farsight runs the gamut across the EP - variously taking cues from UK funky, drill, dubstep, techno, D&B and footwork over the release’s three tracks, all of which were showcased in Farsight's hyped Boiler Room set in June 2023.
