Everyone wants a “dream camera” – the one camera that will do everything, slow motion, low light, big sensor, stills, interchangeable lenses, great colour, 4K on board, light weight, batteries that last for days, brilliant to hand hold, and cheap. Many cameras now in use have a lot of these features and they range in price from ultra low budget to tens of thousands of dollars. Deployed skilfully, all of them can produce great images that serve the story being told.

SO HOW DO YOU CHOOSE AMONG THEM? How does a given camera stack up once you take it out of the showroom?
