Salty (Guest Mix) - Jan 22 2022

Our second winner for the mix of the month series, and this time its a Bass and Trap DJ Producer @komplvintmusic.

Known for his acts and associations within the trap and bass related scene, Komplvint's set brought flares of late 2000s pop punk music with a bassy, and tasty twist. 

This set featured an amazing interview where Komplvint walked us through how he got into the music scene and how he became the lead on a local bass and trap record label! What's more, this was the first time where we were able to have the livestream for Komplvint's set going in tandem with our FM dial broadcast, meaning that if you were out of the range of the radio dial and wanted to get some cool visuals and chat with us and Komplvint during his set, then Twitch.tv/ozillaradio, would have been the spot to be!

We welcomed to the show international DJ and first timer to the show EJ Beats!

EJ Beats is a California based DJ who sat down with our very own Narix to talk about what got him into the scene, his influences and of course that time old question, how did you get your name.

The set starts about ten minutes into the show and features an array of chill house music, so if you're looking to kick it this one is for you!

We welcomed on to the show Stereokilla (@stereokilla_sk). A French born DJ / Producer who took formal training in production and musical sound/theory in Montreal Quebec!

Having an eye for fashion, and loving the production life, StereoKilla came on the show and showed us some of his unique mixing abilities and new IDs.

Fun fact! StereoKilla is an avid fan of Pickle sounds and was even one of the first official #dillsoliders!

Sterokilla (Guest Mix) - April 23 2022

We welcomed to the show first timers, CRSD UP, a duo from the ole Western Region in Canada (Edmonton Alberta).

Having musical influences and styles that trace back to Bass House, and Techno with a side of DnB, the duo came on our show to provide us some truly gangsta house tracks (pun intended given their release "phat" on Gangsta House Records).

The duo is our May Mix of the Month Winners!

We welcomed first timer to the show DD. DD is a DJ with a passion for music, heavily inspired by the legendary Hardwell.

As a side note, this set show was 26th in the global deep tech chart, 28th in the global hard techno chart and 33rd in the global industrial chart on Mixcloud!

Aiska (Guest Mix) - April 15 2023

On May 6th we had a special event at the studio ft various local acts, but the headlining act for both the studio event and live radio broadcast was @trekkofficial.

Trekk who previously came on the show during the peaks of COVID has also played at our Summer Sessions 2021 event. Being known for his trance and bigroom style of tracks, this set, he dropped a unique vibe that differed from his normal influences.

17 year old, @user-59962239 (Bruno Handzel), is a Chicago native that has been intrigued by the scene since he was 9, having been influenced by international legends Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Skrillex, and Jauz. At the age of 11, his career began, after receiving his first controller, a Numark Partymix. From which the rest was history. Fast forward to 2020, and Bruno has been connecting with various Chicago acts including past guest on the show @kubasmusicofficial.

With a passion for house and EDM, Bruno delivered a set that captured iconic EDM and bouncy yet groovy house vibes. Fun fact, Bruno is a multi faceted athlete competing in Hockey and Lacrosse – you might think he’s a Canadian ;)

Bruno Handzel (Guest Mix) - September 16 2023

@gnarly_tea is the type of DJ that views music the same way he sees pallets of colour, that there is no such thing as a bad track if used in the right way and at the right time.

Gnarly Tea has been DJing for some time now and even has previous radio experience, where his roots began with spinning DnB and house. Fast forward to his sets and styles now, and you can expect to hear some funk or motown set from time to time, to keep things unique and provide that human jukebox vibe.

His love for music and art has led him to becoming a founding member of the artist collective @lucidpresents.to. Focused on creating as much space for as much art as possible. Lucid has put on events that give DJs live painters, flow artists and visual artists a place to play and create together. It’s a unique experience like nonother.
