no words have ever stuck with me like this since the release of J Cole's album #KOD. and what i have realized is that in today’s world, people really don’t choose the wisest decisions when it comes to dealing with pain. and you can’t blame them - shit hurts. but people need to realize that their decisions affect others, and can cause others to hurt others: the cycle will never end. this project dives into the pain of making the RIGHT decision. just because there’s love somewhere, doesn’t mean that it’s right. and that’s  what we have to realize as a ppl. we gotta know when to end things, when to move on.. even if it hurts the person. this project challenges listeners to reflect on their decisions. I hope by sharing my mistakes with you, that you will reflect on yours and we can all just be better human beings. I’ve been hurt and i’ve hurt people. but it’s what you do after that defines you. don’t live a lie. face your reality head on and allow the pain to humble you and be the best you, you can be. don’t create your own reality where you win - because so many people can get damaged in the process of you “living your best live” - including you - and you won’t even see it, or feel it. I pray you guys enjoy this project. this is simply the best way i’ve found for me to deal with my pain. Lord KNOWS there are worse things I can do, a lot worse things. but as a black man, my character is all I have. so I decided to leave it all with you, in the music.." - David H
