On ACEN043 we welcome Istanbul-born, Strasbourg-based artist Vod Kasat. On their debut solo release, they showcase their broken, leftfield sound with an expansive 6 track EP.

Title track Mavi Maskara opens the record with glitched breaks and pummeling sub bass before propelling into the groove. Cavernous, fluctuating pads enter the mix, adding an atmospheric edge to this rolling percussive work-out.

Next up, Soap enters with staggering percussion and dubbed-out chords before launching into a high-octante electro-inspired rhythm. Cutting arpeggios drive us forward as disorientating sound design drifts through the mix.

Passenger Princess lowers the tempo significantly, alternating between super-time-stretched breaks and slo-mo gabber kicks. The disorientating groove progresses as a whirring siren hovers above.

Dur U kicks off the second half of the record in a tom-driven house groove. Overdriven, haunting vocals glide through the mix as Vod Kasat hits us with arresting, industrial percussion.

15 Feb opens with mangled breaks before entering into a chaotic, high tempo rhythm. A heavily distorted synth provides the hook as hard-hitting kicks command the dancefloor.

Closing track Raindrops On My Tongue opens in contrastingly serene fashion with waterdrops and ethereal pads. Heavy kicks and hectic percussion dance between glitchy melodies before experimental sound design brings the EP to a close.

Vera Di Lecce  est une chanteuse, productrice et performeuse italienne qui a démarré sa carrière solo en 2012. Si sa première approche était faite de loops brutes de guitare mélangées à sa voix scintillante, petit à petit les outils digitaux ont ouvert sa palette en créant une musique plus produite, sans pour autant renier la part expérimentale et la haute énergie qui se dégage de sa musique et de ses shows. Originaire des Pouilles, région du sud de l’Italie, l’influence des chants, des percussions, des rites traditionnels marquent aussi profondément sa musique à vocation rassembleuse et cathartique. Son dernier album "Altar of Love" est sorti chez Manimal Vinyl (US) et Niafunken (IT). Elle a participé à la compilation de remixes  6 X CHORAL VI qui sort bientôt chez Paravision, et pour l’occasion  elle donnera son premier show en France à l’Embobineuse le samedi 25 mars en compagnie de Low Lov (Fr) et de Poison Anna (UK).

French maestro's Lolito & Doline join forces to make summer bangers for Grid's next venture.

Two of the most exciting producers within the French scene currently, Lolito (TEMƎT) & Doline (Paradoxe Club/Grid) come together for one of France's brightest lights, Grid.

The two have combined to make a four-track EP, the lead track 'Guili Sum' being the sunny, catch club-tool every DJ needs, with kawaï chords glistening throughout. It's backed up by a power ballad version showcasing a slightly more bouncier take on the original. On the flip sees Doline take it long, using his trademark intricate sound design to create a delicate soundscape full of twisted vocals. Lastly, the duo combine for 'Oxblood Fog' drawing influences on all three tracks, giving the EP a sublime close.
