In this episode of Sonic Loom Petran is performing his latest music ideas for us. Petran started his music journey by exploring numerous music genres while a guitarist/composer in various rock projects. Steadily his passion for sound became more intense and led him to study in depth the science of sound for over a decade. At the same time he discovered psychedelic trance music and immersed himself in an ongoing voyage which would take him on a global excursion as a musician and an evolving entity. Petran's music can be described as an attempt to sonically explore the perpetual nature of our universe by mechanically manipulating air pressure, redirecting electronic currents and stimulating altered states of mind. He first released the track "Etheria" in 2010 and since that time he has numerous releases and collaborations. He is also a co-founder and mastering engineer in Sonic Loom Music. His fame as a sound engineer has resulted in working with various labels and artists.

RAWAR @ The Hive | MoDem Festival 2024

It is finally time to release my second album: Mio (along with a long ramble about it)

This has been an incredible journey to make over the last two years and I am overjoyed to share it with you. Each track was made with intention and purpose both musically and personally to create a Psytrance album that is designed to be listened to from start to finish – as well as work individually on dancefloors. Over the coming weeks, after release, I will take you all through each track and its meaning and creation.

I streamed the writing of all these tracks on Twitch as I strongly believe that music is meant to be a shared experience and build community. It was amazing to let everybody into the process and to have their live feedback and share knowledge between all of us.

Part of what makes music so much fun for me is the learning and the challenge to push myself and push the music. I wanted to do that with this album and tried to use unique methods of sound design in each track with a clear concept of the track before even starting – part of this challenge was to not use FM at all throughout the whole thing.

The album is named Mio for my young Nephew whom I adore. It was meant to be released on his 4th birthday, but due to distributor-based-boring-administrative reasons got delayed by a couple of weeks. He is moving further away from me and this felt like a great opportunity to toast him!

I have had the BEST time making this album and have loved seeing people’s reactions on the dancefloor to it so thank you all and I really hope that you enjoy it and understand the intentions behind it.

A huge thanks to Al Shanka  for the mastering, Struan  for the amazing artwork everyone at Bom Shanka Music, Tadhg and Josh Eritas for being great friends and dealing with my crippling lack of self confidence and bloody all of yous!

Psychedelic trance music and parties became part of my life at an early age, I began to collect music and play with it as a DJ. I quickly felt addicted to this music and lifestyle so I started to create my own music always trying to create very rare atmospheras, crystal, spatial sounds, entertaining and always focused on the dance.
Currently I present a psychedelic dj set very entertaining with the artistic name METAMORPHO.

The metamorphosis can be physical (concrete, real) or symbolic (abstract) therefore, refers to the mutation, evolution or change of a thing or passes through a state that is considered METAMORPHOSIS of the Latin METAMORPHOSIS that its a derivative of the Greek word meaning TRANSFORMATION. This is how the inspiration to create the project `` METAMORPHO '' brings to the RAVE scene as a concept the TRANCE-FORMATION through the sound waves of the PSYCHODELIC FOREST that we take to experience, explore, and know the deepest of our been METAMORPHICO always giving the viewer a playful and obscure psychedelic Dj set.


La música de trance psicodelico y las fiestas se hicieron parte de mi vida a una edad temprana, empece a coleccionar música y jugar con ella como dj. Rápidamente me sentí adicto a esta música y estilo de vida así que empece a crear mi propia música siempre tratando de crear atmospheras muy raras, sonidos de cristal, espaciales, obscuros, entretenidos y siempre centrandoce en el baile.
Actualmente presento un dj set psicodelico muy entretenido con el nombre artístico METAMORPHO.ॐ
