Shell of a Love

A full trip around the sun without you… it feels like an eternity. And still, the pain of losing you hits like it was just yesterday. 💔

Even after 365 days, I struggle to find the right words to describe what this loss has done to me—mentally, emotionally, and even physically. Nothing ever felt quite right… so I turned to what’s always helped me communicate my feelings when I couldn’t—music.

I started writing, not really knowing where it would go… and those words slowly turned into something of a tribute. A tribute to both my parents.
I leaned into an EDM vibe—my dad’s a raver at heart—and made the violin a centerpiece since we’ve always shared a love for the way it can make a song feel.

Then I did something I never really thought I would… I tried singing it.

This was only ever meant for my dad ears. But after seeing how much it means to him—and after a lot of, (not-so) gentle pushing—I decided that today, of all days, felt right to share it.

So this is for my friends, my family, and anyone out there who's lost someone they love.
If you’re hurting, I hope this gives you even a moment of comfort… or maybe even a small smile.

Thank you for listening. And just as I did yesterday, and will tomorrow and every day after, I miss you, Mamma!! 😩🥰
