Detroit’s deep techno master, Deepchord, makes a more than welcome return to Soma after 5 years. With a brand new album dropping, Rod Modell delves deep into his ethereal sonic world to bring you 'Functional Extraits 1'. The first single to be taken from the forthcoming album. Built
in a way that only Deepchord can, he transports you to different realms with lush soundscapes and perfectly proccesed electro-acoustics giving you an insight to the mind of the unique artist.

Shale glides across a field of electo-static noise, guided gently by crisp, fleeting percussion and gently warping synths. Lateral begins awash with waves of sound and glistening dub stabs while rollings beats acts as the heart beat of the track with a building intensity adding a sense of
urgency. The uplifting yet dystopian sounds of Mapping sprial into existence urging you down the rabbit hole as more classic techno percussion manoeuvres this track on it's journey. Modell seeks out his roots as yet more traditional dub techno prevails via the final track, Ricochet. Pumping kicks and sub set to a perfect pace and ambience is a perfect, contemporary nod to the time honoured Deepchord sound.

Field Records is to release a two-CD compilation and three vinyl samplers of music from the label's artists old and new entitled simply, Collection.

This second sampler pulls together three tracks of deep, dubby and ambient music from French producer duo Polar Inertia, Remote_ and Sweden's Varg. His track 'Ohns Odegard' is a serene and autumnal bit of ambient with swollen pads and incidental synths making for a soothing atmosphere. Remote_'s 'Echo Of You' is just as wide open and serene but has a warm, rubbery pulse driving it along and finally Polar Inertia gets a little frazzled and intense with their loopy slow techno roller 'Sonic Outlaws'.

Rainer Trueby’s brand new 3 solo single! After releasing his smashing solo debut on Compost Black Label (Livin In The Music / Es Lo Que Pasa / Hirtenruf) and doing “Schoko Bolla”, an all-night jam session (and an amazing free download and gift for all fans out there) he is back again teaming up with Danilo Plessow (Motor City Drum Ensemble). Funny, both Motor City Drum Ensemble and Rainer Trueby (as Trueby Trio - together with Roland Appel and Christian Prommer) have compiled a DJ Kicks.  
 
With its perfectly chosen post garage appeal „Jeck“ sets you in the mood for doing nearly everything and honours the slower, more subtly grooves in a very significant way. Reminds a bit to the early Nineties Nu-Groove Sound from NYC. Especially when the bombastic kick combines with the more jazzy, laid back keys. 
And when you realize that Trueby speaks (and sings) all of his vocals himself, you know that there’s the whole package! The record contains a further track “Welcome To Our World”, which is as moody as hell! Sit back and relax! Last but not least the 12inch includes a kick-ass Marcus Worgull’s remix.  
Marcus Worgull is one of the top addresses for deep house releases on labels like Sonar Kollektiv, Dixon and Amé ́s Innervisions and remixes like Farside Records, Running Back, Lovemonk or DFA.  
 
Rainer Trueby was born in Stuttgart on 20.08.1971. He was raised in the Neckardelta, a prosperous economic region along the river Neckar. He is catholic and goes to church on christmas. His first DJ experience was in an old people’s home (Arbeiterwohlfahrt) in Stuttgart in 1990 where Rainer was the host of tuesday 
afternoon’s teadance, developping a feeling how to rock an elderly but open-minded crowd (65+) with classics like "Es gibt kein Bier auf Hawaii". After having that DJing experience, Ali & Basti Tiefschwarz gave Rainer a sunday night residency @ their ON-U club in Stuttgart where the motto was "all things nice" ranging from Soul 
Funk Jazz to Hip Hop and Talkin Loud stuff. In 1993 Rainer met Compost head honcho Michael Reinboth. 
After some 12"s with A Forest Mighty Black and some compilations ("Glücklich") he teamed up with Christian Prommer and Roland Appel to form the Trueby Trio. Some 12s, one album ("Elevator Music"), one remix album ("Retreated") and numerous remixes followed. His club residency Root Down @ Waldsee / Freiburg is 15 years old now. He likes to play chess with Michael Reinboth. He likes a glass of wine as well. A decent meal too.

An album made on the road throughout Europe in a mobile studio called "Wilson". All tracks have their history and essence – have been made at lonely beaches, forests and elsewhere on the road. Rainy days meet sunny days, you will feel it and get the message, just listen and let your mind wander.

Molly continues to cement RDV’s reputation as a refreshing outlet for contemporary house with the expertly-curated Recit De Voyage Volume 2, a generous compilation that collects a number of established and upcoming producers to deliver vital, sincere and wholly individual music.

Leading the charge is Finale Sessions founder Michael Zucker, who follows his appearance on RDV's first release (as one half of the duo Prophets of a New Generation) with ‘City Streets’; having previously appeared on recordd with the likes of Terrence Dixon, Boo Williams and Norm Talley, he delivers his own nocturnal vision, a gentle and smooth soundtrack for warm Midwestern nights. Molly’s own contribution ‘Poble New’ follows, demonstrating her well-established mastery of tight grooves, atmosphere and subtle jack.

Douala, an artist associated with cult label Blorp, brings us ‘Orbiting’, a powerful slice of liquid funk. 
Modern House Quintet, presents ‘Plaka’, his first release away from his MHQ imprint, and arguably the record’s outright deepest moment. 
The founder of Popcorn Records, Siler ups the tempo for ‘French Manicure’, a playful, fizzy house bubbler.
Discovered at New York’s Elsewhere club during only his second-ever gig, John Silas represents the Eastern seaboard on irresistibly smooth cut ‘One Time’. 
Silas’s nocturnal groove leads in nicely to the more experimental, dense forest of sound forged by Kristian Amou & The Modern Quintet Ensemble on Bokobimbo. 

Finally, Orion hits with the MPC front-and-center for the undeniable groove of ‘Just Have You’, which rolls sensually towards a soulful vocal sample, culled from the dustiest of wax.

We proudly present producer Matthias Springer who recently joined the dreiton community. Beside his music projects and numerous releases he did for labels as Eintakt, Hypnotic Room and Bullet:Dodge, Matthias runs various own labels focussing electronic music styles as techno, house and dub. Therefore dub techno dominates his release for dreiton. In his tracks deep and driving basses respond to rhythmical structures and floating organic sounds. The EP furthermore offers remixes by Lars Leonhard, Matteo Pitton, Telly Quin and Frank Hellmond. These guys interpret Matthias‘ sound in their unique style completing this total work of art in electronic music.
