Palm Paradise is back this month with a special treat: 2 Girls 1 Club is the story of two friends who met at a Berlin club, bonded over their friendship and love for electronic music, and took on the decks themselves. Known for their genre-spanning sets, they've taken their Berlin and Leipzig sound to the global stage.

Giving—one of the core principles of Burning Man and Decompression. I can say, hand on my heart, that I gave it all I got. I'm just so grateful to all the burners who took part in this almost ritualistic house bombardment on Saturday night at The Pond Stage. So many strong memories were co-created. 

Special thanks to Osku for the sound, Kajsa & Aatu, and everyone else who took a leap of faith with the concept and made it a reality.

Isn't it so that it does good to your mental health to allow yourself occasionally to retreat into yourself on the dance floor?  
It can be a space to calm down, reflect on your life, and your current state.  Or just to let go. 

I have a selection of material that, at least for me, has created a powerful sense of capability — that kind of melancholic euphoria, you probably know what I mean. Isn't it good to go there as well, you think? 

Shared experience and piecing that together is sacredly important to me. I am willing to take risks when crafting that together. 

Over the past year, I’ve more often managed to create that “in the same boat” feeling on the dance floor. That’s the most important thing for me: when I see people exchanging approving looks, collectively building a co-created experience. With my set, especially, I want to try to weave the dance floor into a shared experience.

I’ve noticed that having a few surprises up my sleeve in terms of music selection really helps with that. When the crowd is even a little on edge, wondering what’s coming next, it keeps that good tension and collaborative vibe alive.

I’m happy to put myself in a vulnerable position — even risk becoming laughed in a situation where some electronic music purist might say, “You can’t do that, it’s tasteless crap.” But then it ends up working on the floor in that moment. And if it doesn’t, that’s a small price to pay for when it does.

I believe emotional intelligence is essential for a great DJ, alongside great musical taste and a huge collection of records. Hundreds of nights at the dancefloor will also help to get the job done. 

I take this craft very seriously, but that doesn’t mean I can’t approach it with a touch of playfulness. I' active atm and in the past year I have played from Après-Ski in the Alps to Clubs, Bars to Underground Raves to regional Burning Man events. 

I spend hours daily digging new music. I have a huge collection, ranging from disco to minimal, progressive, and deep house, as well as techno.  

I'm always excited to play. I have a deep addiction to moments where magic and emotions are co-created on the dancefloor ✨✨
