Ecco una manciata di brani dei primissimi anni 80, molti dei quali suonati spesso al Cosmic.
Pete Shelly, Telex, The Monks, Abc Martin Fry.
E poi gli Human League e John Foxx rallentati all'inverosimile per farli stare insieme agli altri mentre Gina X è suonata acceleratissima.
In realtà quasi tutti i brani sono pesantemente alterati con le tonalità stravolte, ma questo è il Cosmic Sound amici miei, ed a noi piace cosi!

Here are a handful of tracks from the early 80s, many of which were often played at Cosmic disco.
Pete Shelly, Telex, The Monks, AbcMartin Fry.
And then thereare Human League and John Foxx slowed down to an unbelievable degree to fit in with the others, while Gina X is played at breakneck speed.
In reality, almost all the tracks are heavily altered with distorted tones, but this is the Cosmic Sound, my friends, and we like it that way!

Set n.17a - Mixed on November 2025

Questo Set è un omaggio agli albori del movimento Afro in Italia, sono tutti brani del decennio dal 1970 al 1980 ad eccezione del brano di apertura del 1982 ma "Ever so lonely" in versione originale mi è sembrata adatta per iniziare un Set di questo tipo.
E poi, che dire, nessun remix, solo brani originali che hanno fatto scuola ed ispirato quelli dei due decenni successivi quando, per i miei personali gusti, si è raggiunto l'apice in termini di qualità ed emozioni che questo genere è riuscito a trasmettere ai suoi estimatori.

This Set is a tribute to the dawn of the Afro movement in Italy. All the tracks are from the decade between 1970 and 1980, with the exception of the opening track from 1982, but I felt that the original version of “Ever so lonely” was the perfect way to start a Set of this kind.
And then, what can I say, no remixes, only original tracks that set the standard and inspired those of the following two decades when, in my personal opinion, this genre reached its peak in terms of quality and the emotions it managed to convey to its fans.

Set n.17a - Ethnic Afro 1970-1980

Un riascolto di musica Elettronica e Underground degli anni 90? Questo èil Set giusto! Magari non il brano iniziale che è di un paio di decenni prima ma è un brano senza tempo, sta bene ovunque...
E poi ci sono loro, i Depth Charge, Spirit Free, The Infinite Wheel e molti altri, maestri di questo genere in quegli anni.

Want to revisit electronic and underground music from the 90s? This is the right Set for you! Maybe not the opening track, which is from a couple of decades earlier, but it's a timeless song, it fits in anywhere...And then there are Depth Charge, Spirit Free, The Infinite Wheel, and many others, masters of this genre in those years.

I'm an Afro, Cosmic and Electronic Underground music enthusiast.
I used to go to Melody Mecca, Jamaé and Verve discotheques in the 90s here in the center of Italy.
I still listen to that kind of music and play it myself.
Here you can find some of my just for fun mixes.
