Wow, what a journey it's been...pulling this set together was a real exploration of self and nudged me to delve into parts of my music collection that are a big part of me and my musical identity, but that I've somehow pocketed away... a softer, perhaps more fragile side of me, which is very much a part of who I am. Thank you for the invitation, for putting me on this journey and for inspiring me to explore myself more deeply and truthfully.

Good ole B-Sides Vinyl Mix

As the days begin to get longer, I am drawn to this loopy techy house sound. An old friend described to me what music he likes. He said "slow, chuggy and druggy". While this mix isn't exactly that, I would have to agree that music like that is great for the dance floor, and everyday. 

Another friend described this loopy, hypnotic type of house sound as the Baltic Sea sound. That has led me to a many a great digs for new tunes. I'm great full for both their insights!

Within the rhythm I have found a groove for playing music on a new level for me. It's very rewarding to continue to reach new levels, and keep a curious mind as to how to go deeper. What does the next step look like? Where do I go from here?

Winter Tech Session

With the chatter of the art in the openening/warmup set being lost on the new generation, I thought I would put something gentle together. While this isn't exactly a dance floor opener, it does start to build just a bit as if it were. A softer, floaty mix of lovely tracks. Inspired by the rock solid YokoO, Kora and Satya records, the goal was a soft and consistent feel. Great for mornings, or really late nights.
