Haven't been using the iPad 2 for a while so I took it for a spin and visited the App Store. Fingerlabs have this drum machine app, the DM1 and it's the App Store's App of the Week. So spent 5 bucks on it and played around with it and got this looping beat. Might be useful someday.

This app reminds me a lot of my Fruity Loops 3 days back in UiTM. Simple and intuitive.

Year 27

My previous band Telephony Delivery was commissioned by an old buddy of mine to score for his short film entry for a Anugerah Filem Pendek, a national short film competition held by the government TV network. So we were given the synopsis of the short film and decided to use one of the song's I've been trying to finish as a base for the score. Eventually we finished it, and it was passed on for editing and stuff. I named it Mubarak because it was written over the course of two Ramadhans. 

But as it turned out, my friend redid his short film entirely and used the song we did for him anyways and they fit well. That had me thinking, what a concept the whole things was. That we did a score for a short film that was based on a short film that never was.

Working on another scoring project now, but I kept hitting a blank wall. Hopefully I'll bleed some colors onto it and something good will happen.

Purchased the in-app option to enable this app for recording and made this. At random, obviously. Changed the sound here and there for dynamics.

The Phone Call

Approached by Uzair to work on his docu on the origins & understanding of the traditional Sarawakian tribal tattoos. Came up with these 4 tracks. All done via GarageBand '11 using a myriad of plugins, real-live instruments and stompboxes.
