A great deal of the record weaves through steady, repetitive motions and insistent vocalizations that all feel meditative, regardless of whether they are backdropped by a wall of enveloping sound or a wall of enveloping silence. Rather than trying to impress with sonic curves out of left field, Stonelands bucks the culture that its architect came from and asks you to sit and hold yourself in an introspective embrace.
