Yes yes we agree, after releasing @clint-official’s 90’s prog-house inspired ‘Spirit Call’ back in June, stopping there would have been a crime. So here he is, back on Correspondant with two new heaters.

The frenchman is on fire lately and we find him as efficient as ever on ‘Deacon Frost’ & ‘Theta Overdrive’. A highly energetic tribute to some iconic sounds from the late 90s, especially the ‘Sound of Frankfurt’ and the wild, euphoric nights held at Sven Vath’s legendary ‘Omen Club’ from 1988 to 1998.

Looking back to Plexi Glass debut EP “Echoes From Space”, released in 2023 on Ulla Records, we thought those tracks all had a potential to be remixed. So we asked 5 talented producers that we adore to revisit them, and share with us their very own artistic vision ! 

First we have Gewaltem, who took some subtle deviation to create his own darker, cold wave-ish remix of “Magma Punch”. Then Anastasia Zems propose us to discover a more proggy side of “Hypnotic Marble”, laying some vocals of her own in the mix. Desire is next, and she delivers an explosive and uplifting club-ready remix of “Dust On The Road”. We also wanted to give a twist of our own to the release, so Austher took “Core Of The Meteor” to a more italo-trance field. Finally, we have Blutch closing the dance with a dreamy, melancholic and really personal reinterpretation of “Sky Sytem”, wandering somewhere between progressive trance and acid.

I used to play a LOT of Gran Turismo. Due to what I assume were licensing disputes, those games didn't have Porsches in them. But they did have cars from a famous Porsche tuner company called Ruf. Now, these absolute mad lads built 29 examples of a modified 911 they called the CTR. However, it quickly became known by the sickest name for a car I've ever heard: Yellowbird. It was the fastest car in the world until the McLaren F1. Savage power and torque all the way through its wide powerband, unforgiving handling for those who dared disrespect it, and an obscenely well-engineered interior all neatly packaged in bright yellow, aerodynamically efficient bodywork. What a car. Hot damn. So this song is about a car, I guess. Love that car, love that name. This track is a tribute to that car and the cherished memories I have of trying to drive it in video games.
