Formed in the middle of 2005 by Christian Souza (guitar) and Tarcísio Santeiro (Drums), Prologus appears in full capital amazonense with the proposal of mixing Progressive Metal's sonority with letters and themes that turn about the daily and the people's life. On this same year, they integrate into the band João Paulo (keyboards) and Rodrigo Torres (Bass). This first formation of Prologus started to compose the first music and to define the style and sonority of the band.  
After a 2 year-old hiatus and with Rodrigo Towers' exit, the band returned to the compositions. But soon they found a substitute to the height: Ronaldo Azevedo, with its fort footprint and influences, it is recruited for the position of bear. Almost in the same time, in the middle of 2007, William Ponce (Vocals), it is the chosen to be the " frontman " of the group.  
Taking a serious work and a repertoire of own music with direct influences of bands as Dream Theater, Symphony X, Mr. Big, Rush, Brand X, among so much, but without sounding as pastiches of such, the band came in some pubs of Manaus, as Atomic Coffee, Dinastia Rock Bar, besides having participated of some events in extinct IBBF, always counting with the great receptivity on the part of the public.  
Tends at the end of 2008 the integral exit of two, Prologus stayed for an inactive time. In the beginning of the year of 2009, after a long search, Ítalo Castro (former Behind Mirror) and Renan " William " Max (former Deviant), they were recruited for vocalist's positions and guitarist, respectively, leading off a new cycle and new stage of popularization of its work, getting ready to record its 1st EP.  
After some presentations in the year of 2010, a news surprises the whole ones: Ítalo Castro's exit for personal reasons. Again, due to this fact, the band stayed inactive, but not for a long time... During a chat in a chat of a social net, Pablo Carvalho (Behind Mirror, Heaven Dreams), it received an invitation for an audition in Agosto/11. For being admiring of the sonority and style of the band, decided to accept. And the " chemistry " between both, band and vocalist, gave him at once. With an interpretation style that pleased the whole ones in the band, Pablo Carvalho didn't have difficulties in adapting to the style proposed by the band: broken compasseses, heavy riffs, with harmonious passages and a great variation in the music, going by the blues and new acts.  
Today, Prologus meets concentrated for the recording of its EP, solemnity-entitled PROLOGUS.
