2024 has unarguably been a great year for Electro both with overall visibility for the public as well as with the sheer number of quality releases being put out over the year. With a newfound buzz surrounding my beloved genre, I'm hardly keeping up! I feel like It was a busy year both production-wise and promotion-wise for @DVSNME and @DarkScienceElectro respectively, however, I found some time to put together a mix of my personal favorite tracks from 2023. Stefan began DJing in 1994 in Lille, in the north of France. He was a former resident DJ at the Kiosk club in Lille from 2004 to 2006. After many years immersed in the techno scene, he met Florence in the mid-2010s, who provided him with opportunities to perform at Les Charades Électroniques shows and with EC Underground web radio from 2015 to 2022. Now, Stefan plays various kinds of electronic music, consistently delivering a mental sound.

About the Mix: All tracks** are from the ECU label, exclusively featuring electro tracks.

Currently based in San Francisco, Andreas combines his love for music with his studies in computer science. Operating under the alias Tygre (@djtygre), he immersed himself in the darker realms of electro, techno, and drum and bass from 1997 to 2000. After a prolonged hiatus, Tygre, inspired by the hypnotic sounds of electro, techno, and drum and bass, is back to spread his passion for music, the art of mixing, and the creation of mesmerizing sonic journeys.

Andreas Gehm, who sadly passed away almost 3 years ago, was also the first release on this label in 2015 : "Andreas Gehm ‎– Cosmic Interrail"

The track we have chosen to premiere is entitled ‘Aynt Readi’.

It’s with a pride filled, yet heavy, heart that Schrödinger’s Box bid a welcoming return to the uncrowned King of Acid, Andreas Gehm. After Cosmic Interrail come four tracks of acid scorn, corrosive jack and twisted spite. Under his own name, and the time honoured mantle of Elec Pt 1, Cologne’s 303 contortionist serves three works dripping in bitter bars and skewered by claps and snares. “Captain Future” sits outside of the quartet, a carnival outake of whirling lights and crashing cymbals. Nexus 23 has established himself as the guy behind some of the most frantic and distinctive tracks to carry the Electro tag over the last few years. With support from the likes of UMEK and Dave Clarke, his music is ideal for DJs  looking to drop something into the mix that gets people's attention and switches things up.

On this outing Nexus 23 has handed the keys to his sonic armoury to four other artists, to see what kind of assault they can build. Bass Agenda regulars and heavy hitters RXmode and w1b0 are on typical form here - both bringing the heat in their own trademark style. Recent addition to the Bass Agenda family BPMF (one half of the team behind the stunning Serotonin imprint) brings his typically unusual perspective the mix, making you wiggle to a rhythm your body wasn't expecting. Underground Techno & Dark Electro producer and dj whom has resurfaced from the rising storm surge of Miami Florida.

DJ Dreibot is together with Ian Lee cofounder of abseits Recordings. The label is based
on parties called abseits which were celebrated in the end of the 90īs. They set the focus on 
unconventional music. Their goal is to present a variety of different music styles and art to blow up your mind. 
Dreibot is at home in creating electronical music and played in clubs, partys and a lot of famous radioshows 
(eg. FM4, Elektrodos, Tracklistings, Threads, Techno-Club, Arkada Podcast, Science Cult Radio etc...).
