So this is my final NC project that I did at the music school. 

I tried to mix the upcoming Scottish referendum with the independence debate that's going on in Spain with Catalonia. I feel this is such an important topic and I guess I just put into music using sampling and the help from some good friends. 

There's been many versions of this and i'm still not 100% happy but I hope to be able to recreate it one day.

I massive thanks to Chris Coates for helping me out and for the many hours he spent in the studio giving me advice and for being my own personal piper on demand.

Referendum - NC Project

This is the 6th track on Sgoil Chiùil's annual album 'Top of the Crops'

The first tune is an old american tune named 'Waiting for the feds' and was taught to me by Innes Watson and arranged by the music school's guitar teacher Jack Evans. The second tune is a Phil Cunningham tune called 'Manus Lunny's Terracotta Plower Pop'
