Marco Gegenheimer @MLiR and Arnau Obiols @arnauobiols met in 2016 and instantly clicked through their common passion for music and records. After several years of making music, DJing together, many games of table tennis and pool, they decided (during a trip to Costa Brava) to start their own label. So here we are, a year later, with the first release ready for pre-order featuring songs from @axelboman, @pablosanchez and some of their own music as well. 
We’d like to thank @baldo and @subwax-bcn-distribution for helping out and taking care of the distribution during this journey, and Riccardo for designing this exquisite and beautiful artwork. A recording of my live set at Sweeties (Standard) in London last week. It was part of a line up to celebrate a collaboration between artist Ryoichi Kurokawa & Glenfiddich. Ryoichi Kurokawa's installation referred to the relationship between nature and technology, and the microcosm of time. His installation was called 'Time Re:Imagined' (link below) The line up highlighted the common ground between Scotland and Japan and featured myself and Dove. Nx

Lord Of The Isles (Live @Sweeties London 26.10.23)

Nocturnal is the first single from the upcoming Basic Need album. Basic Need is the collaborative project of electronic music veterans Alexi Delano and Pablo Sánchez. "Nocturnal", the 10-track album was recorded between Alexi’s studio in Stockholm and Pablo’s studio in Barcelona, with their signature blend of deep techno, immersive soundscapes and jazz improv approach.

With almost three decades in the electronic music scene, Alexi Delano, a driving force in Sweden's electronic music scene, is known for his balance of minimalism, deep house and dark techno. Pablo Sánchez, one of Venezuela's top electronic music exports, has captivated global audiences with his versatile approach to music, combining dancefloor energy with left of field elements.

Together, they continue their artistic partnership under Basic Need, after several EP releases on Los Angeles label Culprit, Hamburg´s Hafendisko and Barcelona's Seven Villas Records among other labels.

Charles Webster and Atmos Blaq unite for Free—an evolution in sonic freedom. 

Following his lead single, Bakulindele featuring Muzi, Charles Webster returns with the next instalment of his collaborative project on Stay True Sounds. This entire album is crafted beats sent by some of the finest talents in South Africa's underground music scene and refined at Flame Studios in Johannesburg.

The second single, titled Free, is a deep, immersive journey into the expansive electronic textures that Webster’s best known for. This time, the legendary producer joins forces with Atmos Blaq, one of the most exciting names in South Africa’s 3-step music movement. Hailing from Dobsonville, Soweto, Atmos Blaq is a future-facing producer redefining the landscape of South African electronic music.

A unique collaboration, Free is a track rich in texture that floats freely through ambient tones and spacious sounds while highlighting the driving three-kick drum rhythm that defines 3-step. This partnership merges Webster's seasoned creations as an OG producer with Atmos Blaq's raw creativity. "It's not about making a hit," Webster reflects in the pair's studio chats. "When music comes from the heart, people connect with it." Atmos Blaq adds, "I got to be free... we created magic." 

The magic is unmistakable in Free, a tune that captures the essence of both artists by bridging generations, cultures, and creative minds to create one incredible soundscape.

Pablo Sánchez´s new solo album “Archipiélago” is out now. The new long player, a follow-up to his “Nocturnal” album as Basic Need will be released on Sisternoise Records and is a 42 minute voyage sailing through uncharted waters.

Every archipelago is a constellation of islands, distinct yet bound by invisible tides. Archipiélago, the latest work from Pablo Sánchez, follows this same geography of sound and memory. Its islands are not of sand and rock, but of places which inspired the artist throughout his life; Buenos Aires, Caracas, Puerto Rico, New York, Madrid, Berlin, and Barcelona. Each city has left a trace, a shoreline carved into Sánchez’s musical journey and left a distinctive musical mark.

The ten songs gathered here are like sovereign entities, each with its own character, its own rhythm, its own language. Together they form a single territory, a map drawn by musical experience, longing, and imagination. They are ports of call, but also fragments of a larger voyage, where tradition and experimentation, nostalgia and discovery, coexist to create a common territory. Along the way guest magicians Animal Feelings and Salomeya add their vocal sparks to the voyage.

Archipiélago is not a destination but a map of crossings, a territory of sound where the journey itself becomes home.
