Many Korean musicians have tried to re-interpret one of Korean traditional music, so called "Min-Yo" with various modern music, but they haven't succeeded in reinterpretation in terms of mingling with other genres . Most of attempts has confined themselves in a way that sticks with traditional Korean music too much; as a result, there has been  little room for other type of modern music to go along with it.  Another reason could be that the Min-yo is so hard to harmonize with the modern music due to irregularity of rhythms and tone colors.  However these musicians I think create an unique genre in a sense that not only does keep the Korean traditional music, but also hold good traits of the modern music. Although they perform with the traditional singing method-"Chang"-it doesn't sound like alienate from modern music. I am so impressed!!. Great musicians. No, correctly to say, they are artists.
