Firstly, the weeks podcast goes out to Mumma Pacer, who ensured I was taught piano and drums from a very young age. She listens ever intently as I rattle on about my music passions, and she will always be the better dancer. 

This weeks podcast is truly evidence of one thing... I really miss dancing out in the bush. I was aching to re-live the sounds that get your feet stomping among the trees and dust.
As such, this weeks podcast is a live mix, created in one take from my bedroom studio. It primarily encompasses that sweeping, larger than life Afro House/Tech sound, accompanied by soaring vocals, and punchy tribal drums. The percussive strengths of the Afro sound have always captivated me, and was a center focus while performing this week. Perhaps stemming from my background in playing drums? Sometimes i wish i could attach video footage of these mixes, I was grooving up a storm in my studio.
Big thanks to all listeners both for this cast, and previous uploads. It warms my heart seeing people enjoy what I share with you all.

Pacer Podcast #003 - Tribal Percussion Please

Gather round one and all, for this week we have something a little special! This podcast marks the start of a new series of mixes, wherein friends of the show and rising figures in the Melbourne dance scene stop by to have some fun. 
In the spirit of fun and experimenting with different artists' ideas and styles, over the following months I'll be jumping onto the platters with these artists in a myriad of B2Bs. 
I'm stoked for this, and can't wait for the many bombs that are to be dropped. It's always a pleasure playing alongside talented artists, and shaping our different styles together to create something brilliant. 

HESTN. has dropped in for a visit to the house of Pacer this week, to catch up on all things, and to dust off the headphones and sticks.
Long time friend and partner in crime, HESTN. is a born and bred Melbournian producer and DJ, who experiments with a vast array of genres and mediums, culminating in a unique dreamy style. 
Pacer and HESTN. hit the decks after oiling up with a couple beers on a recent sunny afternoon for some fun. There was a definite longing in the air for the club experience that Melbourne's been denied for so long. Fair to say it leaked through quite a bit. 
This is what became of that afternoon. 

HESTN.'s got some unreleased new music set to be revealed in the upcoming months. Grab hold of his socials in the meantime for info.
