In this short episode, Kristen launches PACE's theme in 2024: "Democracy is Larger than Politics." PACE will spend this pivotal election year in dialogue with leaders across the fields of philanthropy, civic engagement, and democracy in order to collaboratively explore the role philanthropy might play in nurturing a democracy that is larger than politics. This is inspired by a recognition that while an articulated desire to support democracy is strong and widespread, there is often a tendency to conflate perceptions of the success or health of democracy with the achievement of political or implicitly partisan outcomes.
