COMMAND001 // Senate - Gangstalker

Having turned out two hazy, driving EPs of muffled techno for Lobster Theremin sub-label Mörk, nthng arrives on Pacific Command for a rare two track exploration of gritty Dutch rave and rolling trance-y techno. 

Are You Here takes an up-tempo booted-bucket drum shuffle and steadily filters it's way into a skittering hat furore, all coated with epic pads and a demi-hoover rave stab. Full fire-alarm business. 

On the flip nthng takes serious influence from early trance and techno with the warehouse-crushing In The Afterglow. Constructed on the back of an early 90's hard house-esque alien synth patterns and rolling wildly into the deepest depths of the forest rave, until the long-awaited sunlight pads come bursting through the leaves.

Having opened up 2015 with his thumping debut 'Momentary Archive' on Lobster Theremin, Sean Dodd aka Reflec turns out more rhythmic, melodic rollers for war-torn techno imprint Pacific Command. 

Exploring darker and deeper shades of techno since his last 12", Dodd instills his productions with a breakneck velocity, a runaway mentality that threads it's way through all three tracks on the EP. 

Looking Back is the late night Berghain roller. All blind-twitching shades of grey melody and throbbing low end. BHM scrapes away the melodic textures for a much darker workout, where clattering mechanical rhythms ratchet and hiss against the spray of steam and dust. 

The flip-side is solely occupied by heads-down closer Layer Process. Creepy moonlight pads set the mood, drifting and circling over the battering-ram kick and crispy hat combo that undulates below.

COMMAND004 is go!! 1800HaightStreet stacking up some serious mountainous techno heat from the depths of Vancouver. An insect army marching upon the world, with no hope and only Apocalyptic horns and terror-inducing drones emanating from the heavens.

Senate are back on Pacific Command at last! Following up their humungous debut from last year this time they're ploughing the staggered and steppin' bass-led UK techno vibes with some seriously raw and grimey drums. Some proper electro and mad breaks aplenty too. Absolute chaos, get it!

Transitional State join the Pacific Command roster with a bumper five-track EP of lucid, woozy techno that segues between blown-out 909 romps and deep, percussive 808 workouts. 

One for the M25 field ravers back in '93.
