his story is that he is a 'twin' brother of sans
he lived with sans and papyrus for some time but someday for some unknown reason he started having sadistic and maniacal thoughts
and thus his brothers convinced him to move
and so he did

while he was all alone he became insane

remember that part of snowdin forest where there is a cave entrance and on the left part of screen there is a tiny little house seen far away?
bernard lives there

i think the freedom motif fits here perfectly

also this track is heavily inspired by "dinner" - (deltarune chapter 3 ust) on youtube which was made by "saga!"
