Good for feet (Mono Jazz)

Paco Fonz was co-founder of the Contrabajo Jazz Association in Huesca (Spain) in the late eighties. For over a decade, he has organized concerts, festivals and run the celebrated Jazz en el Casino series. Besides this, he published a fanzine and wrote in specialized magazines as well as in on-line publications, back cover articles and lots of reviews, attending to as many concerts as humanly possible always accompanied by a recorder. He has built a library of over a thousand hours of listening of jazz, improv, pop and creative electronics. He also broadcasted radio programmes such as Club de Jazz and Improjazz, and took part in the local tour coordination and contracting of leading artists such as Lee Konitz, BB King, Johnny Griffin, Bob Dylan, Conte Candoli and virtually the whole Spanish jazz scene. 
As a musician, he played keyboards in a few cool-pop groups sharing stage with bands like Héroes del Silencio, Xutos e Pontapés or Macromassa, when he was still teenager. Later on, he founded the NST duo with Jesús Moreno, creating a mess of noise-ambient electronic music, recorded an album and played with Ferrán Fagés and other outsiders. He has also developed solo projects and soundtracks for installations, exhibitions and short films. 
He has been dancing swing (mainly lindy hop and collegiate shag) since 2015, and he quickly became addicted to social dance, workshops and festivals around Europe, attending classes with Pamela Gaižutytė, Vincenzo Fesi, Martynas Stonys, Stephen Sayers, Arnas Razgünas, Nathan Bug, Asa Heedman, Markus Köch, Ali Taghavy or Pontus Persson, among many others.
As a DJ, he’s clearly unorthodox in styles, eras and genres, inserting samples and speeches with a satirical and social purpose. His sets usually have a theme which he selects according to the event, or just reflecting the mood of the day. He recently decided to upload them (once played) here in SoundCloud and immediately reached hundred of listening which encouraged him to continue publishing. 
Paco lives in a small city close to the Pyrenees with his french lady, two children and an old blind and deaf loving dog, earning his living as a public finance control auditor. But what he really loves is riding his motorbike, buying shoes, skiing, organizing his tape bootlegs and vinyl records collection (over and over again), stealing time from sleep to paint naked woman portraits, designing logos and consuming TV series, going along with the flow. Most of his live has an eclectic soundtrack, from klezmer, dream pop, avant-garde, hardcore, contemporary, to his late passions: atmospheric black metal and the Japanese noise scene with which he’s trying to do something new… Yep, the man is a weirdo!
