Grammy winner Karin Park’s latest release sees her collaborating with ‘Pandora Drive’, an outfit comprised of renowned photographer and filmmaker Thomas Knights (who achieved recent stratospheric success as the creator of the ‘Red Hot’ project appearing on The One Show and global news channels) and DJ and producer Nick Sheldon Hurricane’ , includes remixes from heavyweights Booka Shade, Maya Jane Coles and Barber.

Park is an artist and singer famed for her innate ability to captivate crowds with her live sets and leave dance floors across the globe yearning for more. This new offering is plucked from her forthcoming album ‘Apocalypse Pop’, due for release on 2nd March 2015, which will mark another chapter in her career of sonic experimentalism.

Park says, "I’ve been following Pandora Drive at very close range pretty much since it was born and I’m very excited to see it grow. Thomas is such a talented musician, photographer and director and when he teamed up with Nick Sheldon I was expecting nothing less than gold. Looks like I was right.”

Initially, the video illustrates a love story; however, ‘Hurricane’, featuring vocals from both Karin and Thomas and directed by Knights himself, is a mesmerizing depiction of a 21st century life and each individual’s constant desire for more, an underlying sense of longing throughout the hypnotic synths and evocative melody. ‘Hurricane is about never feeling satisfied,’ Knights says. ‘It’s about not getting swept up – you have to keep on going.’   
The meeting of dark decadent subject matter with electronica, hypnotic top lines from both and Knights’ skill with visuals makes for an exhilarating and dangerously alluring combination; listeners are tempted to take a bite out of the apple and enter the ‘fucked up alternative world’ they’ve created.

The release comes complete with remixes from Maya Jane Coles, Booka Shade and newcomer Barber. Maya Jane Coles provides a tantalizing interpretation, adding an extra thread of intrigue that is unmistakably hers to the track’s multi-woven fabric. German producers Booka Shade break the track down only to reconstruct it with an agility that can only be achieved after years of pioneering productions. Newcomer Barber delivers a toughened up re-work worthy of a place in the darkest clubs on the most crowded dance floors.

In the beginning, when Crossfrontier Audio was just starting up, before we'd put out any releases or taken our sounds across the globe from our home in Berlin. The vision and idea behind the label's creation was that of championing the dark horses and pioneering artists, of breaking the new ideas we loved with the things we knew that worked, all the while wanting to throw a mean party.

To stick within genres and sounds was not part of the plan either, and in light of this, Crossfrontier Audio are showcasing an artist who's brand new release highlights a lot of these concepts for us. So without further ado, Mr. Tea the project of Michael Devin, who's accolades within the electronic music world are far reaching, abstractedly different and deeply rooted, gives us hislabel debut in Circles In The Sky EP.

Mr. Tea's releases are rare by proxy of reinvention and influence, making it all the more special for us to get involved in what is a bumper package of tremendous tracks. Full of expansive and expoloratory tones, dripping with eery vocals and breathing a new lease of life into the Mr. Tea project, we get 3 original works in Circles In The Sky, Saved From The Gods and Phoenix – all of which melt away traditional genres.

With more in store from Jamie Stevens coming up on Crossfrontier Audio later in the year, this EP was a perfect way to introduce a taster of his impressive productions to you – the lead track Circles In The Sky gets Jamie Steven's devilish treatment, with both a remix and a dub version. Followers of CFA will definitely enjoy what's to come from him in the future, so stay tuned in. Finally, adding in a little more zest for the clubs, is Marc Poppcke's rework of Saved From The Gods, the CFA head honcho has been taking the EP across the world's dance-floors and the reception on them has been warming to say the least, so here they all are... just for you.

Piek is knocking at the door. Let him in. Subtle melodies, superb drumming, oscillating arp-synths and beautiful vocals that shrink the heart, these are the tools Piek has used to create this dreamlike composition. “That's me” (Trippin) is the first single from his highly anticipated debut album “Despertar”– set to be released via Sincopat on February 20th, 2017.
The original track is littered with delicate beats and intelligent textures. An electronic composition where Piek and Chilean vocalist Jim Hast work together to finally create human magnetism in a magical way. That’s Me is like a walk in the jungle on LSD with heavy bass lines, lush pads, distorted guitars and some smart lyrics by one the hottest writers in the advertising business: Tony Phillips.
Time for the higher-tempo tracks: the journey of pulsing techno and house beats, vivid synths and spacey vocals begins with Berlin-based duo Kyodai (Mule Musiq, Local Talk). They push “That's me” into a tunnel of Detroit oriented stabs, sweeping chords and an orgy of rhythmic details. Jim Hast’s trippy vocal sample rises and falls with metronomic intensity. Those who like tech-edged sounds will really appreciate this. 
In another world. Piek himself shows us his own vision with a club-oriented remix ‘Amnesia 88 Piek Club Mix’. A solid twist of an open-hearted electronic pop modern song into a booty-shaking, UK house influenced cut where a 303 bass line is the main hook. This one will make it for the old school house lovers. 
And finally AvantRoots head honcho Pablo Bolivar’s remix. More mercurial and late hours and club-oriented than usual. It retains the original's sleepy feel but he stretches it into a double-length house epic - replete with cosy beats and a trancey aesthetic background. Pablo once again shows his teeth. Great skills, trippy tricks. 
We are happy to have Piek back on Sincopat with this emotional, vibrant, absorbing and evocative single. Now get ready for the rest of the album, but don’t expect what you should expect… ☺
