Bio:

Salva Coromina  aka ABSIS. 
His involvement in the Barcelona scene began in the late 90s under the alias MouseDown/MouseUp, having years of experience as Dj resident in club such as Razzmatazz (The loft) and festivals like Sonar.
He has always been exploring the deeper side of electronic music, moving from ambient to techno. ABSIS currently runs his residency at Laut club in Barcelona with the Midline parties... he is also a resident at the MOSTRA festival in Barcelona and his productions are published on labels such as hivern discs, Affin and Oslated among others.

The Art Of Listening x Experiment Intrinsic

Naturally active person, in 2014, Nathalia founded Experiment Intrinsic – a hidden art dimension organically blended with the visual and musical imagination.

A pivotal change, in which she pursued a path of deeper self inquiry and progression of sound, shifted her from the electronic dance-floor oriented music and into ambient soundscapes.

Her influences drew increasingly from experimental electronic, as well as traditional and spiritual genres.

The following years were dedicated as developing the project into a dynamic and constantly evolving audio-visual platform.

Sundays, for me—no matter what's planned or how beautiful—always carry an underlying sadness. A kind of hopeful melancholy. Sundays are when the medicinal, healing properties of music are at their most potent, and I find myself gravitating toward gentler, more emotional sounds to help calm a wandering mind.

Next in our Ambient Meditation series: Paduan b2b Will Oirson, recorded at the final stretch of our ADE ritual. Their otherworldly closing track carried the final notes of our 39.5-hour ambient meditation.

- How did you experience playing at ZEROBPM? 
"For us it felt very natural. We weren’t adapting our approach — the context simply supported it. The pace of ZEROBPM, combined with the quiet focus of the space, made it easy to settle into the moment. The building itself plays a role in that: its openness and calm atmosphere seem to slow everything down, which made playing feel grounded rather than performative."

- Were there any feelings or emotions that guided your set? 
"Mostly attentiveness. We focused on listening — to each other, to the room, and to how the sound carried in the space. Rather than working towards a specific emotional narrative, we let small shifts in texture and tone guide the set. The acoustics and presence of the building encouraged that kind of patience and restraint."

-In what way did you feel connected to the ritual?
"The ritual felt less like a concept and more like a shared state. ZEROBPM creates a setting where people are invited to slow down and stay present for an extended time, and our way of playing fits naturally within that. Being there b2b, surrounded by listeners who were clearly there to listen rather than consume, created a quiet sense of togetherness. The space, the duration, and the collective attention made it feel warm and human — without needing to be explicitly framed as such."

It is snowing outside, and after a memorable and emotional holiday period, our bodies and minds are craving home coziness. Think blanket, fireplace and a warm drink. Cuddles with your pet, and a smile remembering the past couple weeks spent with friends and family. For us, xmas and new years 2025 will be one that we will remember forever. 

This setting was asking for a soundtrack of slow and warm music. So for our episode 66 of Selene Series, we bring a mix of dubbed out rollers, underwater music clocking in at around 115bpm. Deep grooves and introspective sounds to comfort you on those lazy January weekends.

We are over the moon to share with you the live recording of a stunning set by the Amsterdam-based DJ and artist, our dear friend and the connoisseur of all things psychedelic ~ David Cazalla aka DOC 🔮

By way of Barcelona and currently residing in Amsterdam, Selene Series founder DOC is a live performer and DJ with an affinity for the mind-bending, ritualistic and hypnotic within music, not bound by traditional tropes and genre frontiers. His selections exist at the crossroads between ambient and techno, the grey areas where downtempo, dub and breaks all become ingredients of his psychoactive soup. From club to horizontal listening spaces, you’ll find DOC feeling equally at home casting his sonic spells 🪄

Our latest Podcast Series chapter is a live recording from a very special gathering somewhere in the Scottish countryside, the mythical Springkell. It’s Sunday evening on the estate and the ambient room is dimly lit by the softly crackling fire, its warmth and scent permeating the space that is otherwise completely still and silent. Not a word needs to be uttered in a moment that asks for a truly deep and intent collective listening 🧘

As we press play, we are immediately transported into a subterranean world living an breathing with and through sound. The sound permeates dense soil textures and moulds itself into shapes of its crevaces. It ponders if this is when it comes to be called music or if it really matters at all. It’s shapes are animated by movement that brings together all matter of sonic matter. We hear field recordings inextricably bound to synthetic sounds, swells of thick ambiences tickled by textural grain, voices chant and melt into drone plateux and extraterrestrial trasmissions making space for a deeply emotional finale that sits with you long after the very last note 🏹

A few years ago, in the early hours of the morning at a beautiful gathering curated by Muzan Editions and Astral Industries in Osaka, Japan - a morning that would deeply inspire the trajectory of our journey with music - we were first introduced to the sounds of the gifted selector and curator Paduan. He explores the deeper, more emotional shades of ambient and experimental music through his monthly radio show on London’s Balamii (one of our favourites <3), as well as the Amsterdam-based event series Into the Universes, which he co-curates with Will Oirson and Vincent Rang.

We’re honoured to welcome Paduan to the series, sharing with us a stunning recording from his performance at Springkell late last year.

The Observatory - Paduan at Springkell, 2025

Continuum: a coherent whole characterised as a collection, sequence, or progression of values or elements varying by minute degrees.

Our Continuum  is inhabited by many artists, each one with their own voice and universe. We still find it hard to describe what is it that connects all of it and all of them: it is not a location, it is not a particular genre, it is not a specific club. Talking about energy, approach, attitude, philosophy becomes abstract very quickly. But one thing is undeniable: some of the artists are a key part in creating some form of glue, and are connectors of this "something" that transcends easy descriptions. And Camu is that. Part of the Espacio Perpendicular crew in Madrid, Camu is one of those that keeps the fire burning (figuratively and literally as seen in ambient rooms). 

As a selector, I always found that texture, material, grittiness and moody atmospheres are his most commonly used tools. He presents introspective mixes with drones, sub bass that speaks, deformed instruments through heavy processing and very tactile music. This is ambient that challenges you as a listener. 

This mix is a recording from the Temple event at Espacio Perpendicular last October. A special gathering for listeners that happens in a special place.

The Continuum: Camu

We are so pleased to welcome our next guest - the lovely Josephine' Soundscapes, the moniker of Jose Salas, an audiovisual creator, art director, and active promoter of alternative culture in Madrid, who has been shaping the city’s underground electronic scene for over 20 years.

"Removed from the dynamics of fast consumption and with the intention of enduring and leaving a lasting impression, this DJ set calls for a commitment from the listener towards a form of listening that may not necessarily be pleasant or easy. They are not only related to musical references or sound work, but also to the ability and willingness to confront complex emotions and sensations.

In this specific case, I wanted to work with the ideas of solitude, obsession, and the representation of madness, but also with the beauty that exists in the cracks of those fractures between the individual and the realities that surround them, taking as a starting point the filmic, musical and conceptual work of David Lynch. While performing, I became aware of a high level of attention, connection and attunement from the engaged audience present, who demonstrated the patience required to create that alliance and allow themselves to be traversed by the discourse, in one of the settings best suited for this purpose: the listening room at Springkell." - Jose
