Baianá

This is the first mix of my ISOLATION weekly series. 

ISOLATI001 contains a mix of songs which i've been dying to put together for ages and I had a lot of fun making this one - I hope you enjoy listening! 

The first half is more house, minimal, and techno in some parts. From 50 mins onward I transition over to groove and a bit of disco house.

The second installation of my 'ISOLATION' mix series. 

This one contains loads of songs that have done the rounds in a lot of my club sets over the past year.

The genres include:  disco, disco house, feel good house, hip house.

003 - Eastyy.

My first guest mix of the series is by a good friend of mine Ash Eastham (Eastyy). This mix showcases a range of genres, from feel good house to the intense club hitters.

Ash has a broad range of musical influences and tastes which span the full spectrum of House/Techno sub genres, allowing him to display a dynamic play style in each of his mixes.

Having cemented himself in the Leeds scene, playing at 212 cafe, Distrikt, and more, it was a no brainer to get him involved with the ISOLAT series.

This one's more of a hard hitter, with genres including minimal, techno, disco house, electronic, and others

For the fifth installation of the series we've got Sonda resident and founder Billy. Having recently started throwing their events based in Leeds with headliners such as Instinct, the Sonda residents draw their musical influences from many different genres ranging from the old and new schools of UKG to pulsating electro and trance sounds. 

In this mix, Sonda resident and founder Billy provides an hour of chugging tech house and wobbly garage in this mix sure to blow away the lockdown cobwebs.

This mix dives deep into the depths, with fast beats, punchy basslines, and acid rhythms. With genres ranging from breaks and electro to garage and grime, this one will inject a bit of energy into you during these tough times.

This week's guest mix is from an up and coming Leeds DJ in the underground scene who I've had the pleasure of sharing a few lineups with - 'WORDIE'.

This mix serves up a selcetion of tracks, including some garage and break beat house that will hit the spot and keep your spirits high during isolation.

The second guest mix of the week is courtesy of Luke Crompton.

With a bunch of gigs in Newcastle and Manchester, Luke has spent the past several years providing high energy, disco-infused sets to dance floors in the North. He's heavily influenced by Newcastle's techno scene, 90s house and classic funk - all of which are showcased in this mix. 

With a combination of old school and progressive disco, this one's sure to keep you grooving in the lockdown sun.

Under the name 'This & That' Borna and Lewis have seen exponential success since first appearing as a duo in 2016 on Groove London's radio station 'The WorkHOUSE'. Following on from this, the pair have managed to build up an impressive list of accolades by playing at venues such as Mint Warehouse, Distrikt, Church and Mint Festival. Furthermore, they went on to create their own brand 'Illusion', under which they hosted their own festival in 2019. Their success hasn't gone unnoticed with the pair supporting names such as Solardo, Camelphat, Latmun, Detlef and Bontan.
