Combining Americana, Balearica and Space Disco the @flying-mojito-bros are a DJ duo who most certainly stand out in disco scene. It's a winning combination which is in equal counts super fresh and loads of fun. It's also proven to be huge dancefloor success which pre covid saw the Mojito Bros in demand all over the globe.

Their latest release see's them remixing Rudy Norman's 70's classic Back To The Streets for @ubiquityrecords. It's a track which has already picked up huge support including from our own Yam Who who featured it as one of his essential tracks of the month. To celebrate they have put together a scintillating mix for us which ably shows off their DJing prowess. Live recording from a special daytime event at The Social in London. 

I never normally record the audience in my mixes, but, for some strange reason, there seems to have been a mic active on my device picking up the crowd. My aversion to this is that, apart from the general ambience of the room, it also picks up people chatting in or around the booth, especially in a small compact space like we were in. I hope this isn’t distracting, but, weighing things up, it was such a good day, and its so long since I’ve uploaded a mix to SoundCloud, that I think it’s only right to share regardless.

Recorded by The Super Weird Society, with lyrics by Greg Wilson, Carmel Reynolds, Katherine Reynolds and Kermit Leveridge, ‘Serious Sirius Super Weird Space Party’ was recorded at the request of Daisy Eris Campbell for the recent run of her inspired stage production of the Robert Anton Wilson book ‘Cosmic Trigger' at London’s Cockpit Theatre during May 2017.

In line with inclusions on the Super Weird mixtapes ‘Blind Arcade Meets Super Weird Substance in the Morphogenetic Field’ (2014) and ‘Alan Moore’s Mandrill Meets Super Weird Substance At The Arts Lab Apocalypse’ (2017), Greg Wilson edited the backing track, in this case Ednah Holt’s ‘Serious, Sirius Space Party’ (1981), with overdubbed vocals provided, in this case, by The Reynolds, whilst Ché Wilson and Derek Kaye also assisted with engineering / mastering.
