Luo is the alias of Brighton based electronic musician Josh Trinnaman - a forward thinking experimental electronic producer and engineer who’s work has seen critical acclaim from the likes of Huw Stephens on Radio 1, Clash Magazine, Notion + more.

Having built his name as a solo performer (supporting the likes of Death Grips and Venetian Snares), Luo has now transcended into a full 4-piece live group to expand the compositions into new territories.

The album features an explosive collection of percussive sounds, arp-ing synthesisers, and guitar drones, all presented via Trinnaman’s forward focused electronic production.
The opening track (which shares the title of the album) sets the tone with a beautiful ambient introduction, moving forward into an arrangement containing all the elements which are set to be featured across the rest of the album, from intricate live drums to brass arrangements and cut up vocal samples. It’s difficult not to be intrigued with the rest of the album after hearing such a strong opener.

Moving forward through the album, tracks like ‘Octopus’ and ‘Intertwined’ showcase the incredible live drums talents of Sam Hughes, and invite the listener to indulge in the beautiful soundscapes created around such huge breaks.  
Even after numerous listens, the record is often quite difficult to place, but in the most enticing way. It has such a strong potential to engage fans in the worlds of electronic, math rock, drum and bass, jazz and experimental music.

On Wednesday i had the absolute honor of presenting and welcoming two of the newest member in the crew and they are going under the alias '@igorytheintelligent and @twentyweeks'. Both of them hailing from Russia - inspired by soul, funk and smooth lounge. During last year they agreed upon a collaboration and the first trip for recording was to St. Petersburg.

The second meeting, we're seeing Twenty Weeks traveling to meetup igory and now the finalization is to be made. 8 stunning soul tracks has been produced & composed by the great minds of igory & twenty weeks. We're seeing a totally different approach than their personal production. When they sit down and make music you can really tell they have an agreement on making more smooth, lounged style beats.

I would say, if you listen to igory's earlier production, it's heavily sample based, different moods and atmosphere and he's really talented playing around with the equipment he's using. Some tracks reminds me of the 90's but fully with a more up to date sound and works well in any situation really, if you're feeling down or really happy.

When it comes to Twenty Weeks, there has to be some more electronic styled production that's been a great influence to him. He's not afraid of using a bit of overtaking 808's and playing around with percussions. Together they work incredibly well and the sound is truly inspiring to hear. I would recommend you to visit their personal profiles and listen & try to see my approach on this.
