Beyond 2000 was an Australian popular science & technology series, aired from 1985 to 1999.
It was the world’s most popular show of it’s kind.

This is my Tangerine Dream inspired interpretation of the theme for this show.

This is my second attempt of emulating the style of guitarist Jeff Pearce.
I'm starting to get the hang of it here.

Convalescence - Part 2

Inspired by the style of guitarist Jeff Pearce.
This is my first ever recording session using only free and open source software. It was made while recovering from heart surgery.

Convalescence - Part 3

96 highly resonant bandpass filters tuned to the overtone series, which are fed by pink noise. The pink noise goes through VCA's with an 8-second attack/release envelope attached to it before going in to the filters. Each filter is then panned by an LFO which is slightly pitch modulated by another random source. The resonance of each filter is also randomly modulated.

❄️ Polar Winds ❄️

In 2005, I made this enormous setup with 28 harmonically tuned stereo band-pass filters in Propellerhead Reason. Each filter is fed by white noise from individual Subtractor synthesizers, panned continuously left and right by a triangle LFO each of witch also has a slight random modulation of their frequencies. Furthermore, the output of each filter is also randomly amplitude modulated.

I posted this setup on the Propellerhead discussion forums and it ended up getting attention from a guy by the name of Ricky Ray. He is the one who put together this track using my setup as a background drone, so all credit goes to him.

Inspiration for this track comes from countless hours of listening to "Glyder" by Jonn Serrie. Field recording in the background is from an abandoned mine near Longyearbyen, Svalbard.

Letting Go Of The Past

Lectric Panda's PSQ-1684 pulse sequencer is the star of the show here, driving six Complex-1 synthesizers and one instance of JackBox L1MDrum.
Some chaos has been dialed in on the PSQ-1684, so all the devices are triggered differently every time I open this project.

A Moment Of Tranquillity

A Jackson Rhoads JS32 played with an E-Bow in multiple takes, feeding multiple instances of the Lectric Panda Fritz granular delay, just as a fun learning experiment.
