Information about Fans Used to Provide SoundCloud for Artists and Fan Insights to Artist Profile Owner

Fan Insights are statistics that are created from information collected by SoundCloud on the Platform about the Fan behavior as explained in the SoundCloud Privacy Policy and the SoundCloud Terms of Use.

The data used to provide SoundCloud for Artists and Fan Insights is what we refer to as “Usage Data”. Usage Data includes different usage behaviors, which we outline below

  • The liking or un-liking of a Track

  • The downloading of a Track

  • The contributions towards Artist’s total earnings

  • Categorizations derived from the above data points

As it refers to the above mentioned actions:

  • The date and time of listening, liking, etc.

  • The country/city (estimated from IP address or from user profile for logged-in fans) of listening, liking, etc.
