Aggressive Future Bounce Tutorial (FLP)

For an antagonist, Von Bolt's theme may take a minute to get rolling but when it does? It is pure glory. With that said this is a straight forward take on it. Its a bit aggressive, but that is kind of the point. Its pushed a bit too hard, but that is kind of the point. Long live the leader of the Black Hole.

Never played Gaiares, but this was a fun little one to do a simple little remix of.

This remix is a long time coming to put it mildly. This is part of a much larger project. OCRemix's Final Fantasy VIII: SeeD's of Pandora https://ff8.ocremix.org/

I have always liked the airship themes in FFVII and FFVIII. Not too long ago I got the chance to take a stab at remixing it. And that is where this track came into existence. It is probably the single biggest remix I have ever attempted and is on one hand a reasonably straight forward take on the theme, but on the other hand it is something else entirely.

Theme Of The White Hole Prevention Agency

The main riff in this is actually awesome. Understated, happy, and yet melancholic. I did have to write some chords underneath the original lead line that I felt fit well enough. Quite fun.

This is a remix of OutRun's Passing Breeze. This is a track that I have always enjoyed and I really do not need any particular reason to fire up the DAW and have a play with it. However, this particular genesis of this track comes because it is the last track that I will submit to a friendly video game music remix competition I used to compete in. 

I tried to do something that was a bit 80s inspired because you know OutRun...it just fits the...vibe. But I didn't want it to go so far into the 80s as to be synthwave territory. As a result this remix has some 80s/synthwave influence, but ultimately is really more about a chilled laid back listening experience. Reminiscing of days gone by, going with the flow, and even thinking back a bit on times there weren't quite as remembered. 

At first glance it may seem like this is a pretty samey cover of the track, what with replacing the piano with a polysynth instead and just using a simple synth lead. In fairness that isn't entirely untrue and it is a fairly 1:1 remix. But a closer listen will reveal that there were a lot of subtle changes throughout. I tried to keep it more upbeat and energetic in the beginning, in the middle I went more ambient & pretty, but towards the end I really tried to shift it away from those rose tinted glasses to something more melancholic yet with just a twinge of those tinted glasses because it is too hard to bring myself to not let the vibrancy of the track come out. I do end it on a very pretty chord though, at least I think it is pretty.

My first Audio Vitamin track of 2024! It is a hybrid between dnb and hardcore, but more skewed to the dnb side than my previous tracks of this type. The track ended up with a weird BPM of 169.706 because I did not want to have time stretching artifacts in the vocals. I used nanobii's pitch to tempo calculator and ended up with a project BPM of 169.706 to have the vocals naturally pitch up by 6 semitones from their original 120 BPM. This is slightly annoying for DJs, but I think it is worth it for how much cleaner the vocals sound without time stretching artifacts. I am very happy with the overall production, I think it sounds very clean and the track is a very nice vibe to it.

I'm Paggos, and i live in an ice box.  This project started about 15 years ago as a 15 year old kid who liked the sounds that robots made. Also inspired by weird noises, IDM and some early EDM stuff i liked.

Sometimes i make music that may make you think twice, but will spark an adventurous journey into the mind, or just have fun.
