'Excursion' is the Enpeg debut of Japanese producer Paina. Created on a foundation of machines like hardware synthesizers, samplers and effects pedals along with a sprinkling of guitar, 'Excursion' balances the ambient and noise spectrums into a beast all it’s own. With the idea of creating sounds and then processing them into all new audio creatures, a living breathing entity is felt within each song. A sense of tactile density layered with memories and feelings as a journey through space and time. Based from his experiences as a live musician, Paina’s constant travels to perform with machines in tow always felt like an excursion of sorts. Such travels always gave excited positive feelings of freedom and happiness. Hopefully these same feelings resonate with the listener as they listen to 'Excursion' and after listening one has felt as if they themselves have just gone on an excursion of their own. #space #deep-sea #encounter #dream

about Paina
Paina is the musical alias of Japanese electronic producer Kota who began creating music at the age of 14 with a Yamaha QY70. Eventually expanding his hardware collection, in 2008 his Paina project was born with a sampler, synthesizer, rhythm box and so on. Since then he has also evolved with guitar and piano being included into his sonic tapestry as well. Unconfined to a single genre, his sound encompasses various atmospheres such as experimental, lo-fi, drone and soundtrack, to name a few. His live performances are especially special because of this trait of sonic versatility.
