As I’ve said many a time before, I’m on a bit of a mission to try every musical genre in existence. I feel like keeping my compositions ranged and unpredictable is equally helpful in the development of skills and the prevention of boredom.  This makes it pretty surprising that I’ve never tried anything particularly jazzy, as the area is a personal favorite of mine. So here’s a Jazz Quartet (piano, double bass, trumpet, drums) piece. I played all the instruments except the double bass myself (with samples mixed in throughout). As always, the first exploration of a genre is rough around the edges, but I really enjoyed writing it, and I think it turned out okay :)
