You know that feeling where it seems like moving can sap your precious resources and is more risky than staying still? And yet you know remaining where you are is futile. That's the essence of this rework of a couple of numbers from a dope Toronto indie group.

It started out with me messing around with clips of my old Korg DW-8000 in action. The synth was stuck in Toronto, in the good hands of Mr. Charles Tilden of Delta Will. He reached out to me to let me know the 80s-era machine was on its last legs. Basically, this is remix of Delta Will's "Are We Gonna Make It?" as well as "A Dream" from the album Weathering.

The spirit of Four Tet looms over the piece a bit, in part because the musician's records were the perfect indie-electronic bridge between myself and Charles back in the day, and in part because I attended a Four Tet show in LA before completing this track. It's a song about being unwilling to give up on your dream, while not knowing quite what to do to keep it alive.

I tried to find patterns in the hazy soundscape that emerged while editing at the Echo Park library, to make something I find rather beautiful and captivating.
