I just had a day off to sit down and write while recording, I usually write with guitar pro so that I have everything done and practiced before recording. What's great about this is that I realized just how badly practice works for me because the practiced songs don't really sound better :D

The goal of this recording was to get familiar with the new software I'm using so a lot of questionable playing made it to the final cut, enjoy my laziness! 

Despite the picture no Tortex Jazz III's were used in the recording of this song.

First song in 5 years

New song, pretty different this one! It's a bit on the short side this time so if you don't like it it'll be over in no time. However, if you do like it you can just listen to it twice, or more, I won't judge you for having weird taste.

A little bit about and recording this:
Recording went smoother than expected, the only trouble was that fucking bass in the main riff/intro, lots of puzzling to get that sounding OK :D Guitars are played with my Fender tele through a Carl Martin compressor and a EHX soul food into a Kemper with a Fender twin reverb profile. I also make frequent use of phaser and octave effects. Bass is a Fender jazz with a bit of compression, some parts also have distortion and flanger. The amp is my "bass profile" on the Kemper. It sounds like a bass, what do I know. Drums are digital, it is what it is. "Mixing" is as usual, I just adjust the levels and add some EQ and run it all though the same reverb and hope it sound like I knew what I was doing. Still trying to find out what mastering is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
