Annulus is Ryu Yoshizawa’s third release on Orange Milk as Koeosaeme. His 2019 LP Obanikeshi was a barrage of high resolution abstract compositions, and Annulus picks up from there, refining the style and adding an extra layer of inspiration from the Southeast Asian folk music of Burma, Thailand, China, etc. He inserts music concrete with silky repetition, making you feel as if you are walking through parts of Asia, contemplating experimental music. Annulus is peaceful, melodic, atonal, and flows together as one big piece. Part 1 of the record is concrete music, and Part 2 is described as abstract music. It is distinctly Japanese despite other western influences like Steve Reich and Jon Hassle; music meant for a documentary that will be made in the distant future. Annulus features collaborations with Hidekazu Sakamoto, Seth Graham, and LXV.

Koeosaeme is Ryu Yoshizawa. From 2004, he has been a member of the sound artists group “OFFICE INTENZIO” under Yellow Magic Orchestra’s Yukihiro Takahashi. In addition, he is in charge of live event backup support and recordings for Ryuichi Sakamoto, Yukihiro Takahashi, Kyoka and many others. He also produces music commercially for Lotte and Square Enix.

NTsKi is a Kyoto-based artist, musician. She began making music while living in the UK and began working in earnest in 2017 after returning to Japan. She works seamlessly to create tracks with gentle but somewhat eerie vocals and a mixture of diverse musicality. In 2021, she was selected by Bijutsu Techo as one of the newcomer artists who will open up the 2020s. Her collaboration with 7FO, released through EM Records, was selected as one of the best of the year by Shintaro Sakamoto. In addition to her self-produced works, she has participated in the works of Giant Claw, CVN, Shokuhin Matsuri a.k.a foodman, Dengaryu, KM, etc., and has released through overseas labels including TAR and Orange Milk. Also, she has contributed music to the Japan Pavilion hosted by the Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry at SXSW 2019, where Yoichi Ochiai was the general director, virtual singer te'resa, and an Australian bag brand. On August 6th, 2021, her debut album "Orca" will be released via Orange Milk / EM Records.

“Millennium Bug is a selection of live recordings from various performances I’ve done between 2018 to 2021. For my live setup I take apart tracks I’ve made on the computer, chopping them into miniature wav files and one-shots that can form new arrangements when loaded onto my Roland SPD-SX drum pad sampler. Most of the songs on Millennium Bug come from my albums ‘Soft Channel’ and ‘Mirror Guide’ except “Loner Bug” “Soft Target” and “Drops of Primed Water Leading to Another World” which are non-album pieces. 
I’ve always loved the actual act of performing music, but everything else surrounding IRL live shows has been a source of anxiety in my life since I was a teen. I used to perform constantly, almost masochistically trying to “face the fear” - but it never really went away, and it took a long time to accept that living the life of a touring musician wasn’t something I would be happy doing. Online streaming or pre-recorded events, especially in the past few years, have provided an outlet to perform without that anxiety, so I wanted to capture the period of time with a live album.”

“After listening to Keith's demo, it gives me an immersive feeling. I feel that it is endowed with a strong "destructive power". This "power" provides a lot of inspiration for my cover creation. Behind this cover is actually a simple story, and I want this album to tell this story by itself. In this story, I refer to the monster "Taotie", which can devour everything, from the ancient Chinese book "Shan Hai Ching". I let it act as a destroyer and devour everything around it. In the process of constructing this story, I want to express is not only the act of destruction. Order and destruction exist like Yin and Yang of Tai Chi. They are balanced. In short, the inspiration for all this creation was born in the demo, which promoted the visual creation of this album.”
