This is a hotter rendering or "remastered" version of one of my earlier mixes, turned up to slam in today's music playback realities. Starts off somewhat mellow but then rewards your patience with glitchy goodness right through to the end.

First original track I have posted in a little while... This time stepping just my tippy-toes in the safe end of the vast DnB/Jungle ocean. Doubt you will need your floaties in here, so why worry? Come float along over the rippling waves of this oasis in the desert of space and time.

Upper Atmospheres - Palindrome

Obey your inner shaman! This 4X4 tech-house track arose while experimenting late at night with vocal processing tricks. The shaman is of course Sam Potter aka Samsation.

This one was written for my mom; wherever she flies now, she's always near. The chorus such as it is repeats a melody for a lyric that is just for her to know, but even so, I think there is still plenty for you to enjoy, and i hope you do!

Inner Worx (downtempo)

This track bounces between an easy downtempo feel and drum-n-bass feel at double the tempo. It loosely follows a day in the life of a nudibranch -- a type of sea slug which can have amazing colorings and breathes through its tail plume --carnivorously munching its way through sponges, corals, anemones, hydroids, bryozoans, tunicates, algae and sometimes other nudibranchs.

Like all good stories, this is a blend of fact and fiction, foundation and confection. It is a tale that begins on the dance floor, but where it takes you... that's not always predictable. One thing that is assured is like a good palindrome, it will return you to the place you started. More or less.

A drifting, gossamer melody ties this collection of varying funky basslines together like an ocean breeze that carries many sailing vessels into safe waters.

Forgivence

The feeling when something is about to start... Something big, something unknown, but you know you want to be there when it happens. This track was born in a late-night jam with Pym, and was pretty much wrapped up by dawn the next day. I wish every tune came together so easily!

Here we have a dialogue between protector and protected, a shelter in the storm, a wellspring of care, and voice that beckons us out of the wilderness. Written for my mom for her birthday in early 2024, who helps me see so many things and see them clearly.

Doris worked hard to put one small foot in front of the other, then the other in front of the first. She practiced and practiced. Finally one day, she realized she had it down. This was it: Doris's first day out under her own power! She was ready for her adventure. Her feet carried her up and down, all around the world outside, and even when things seemed unfamiliar, she knew her two feet would carry her safely back again. Whew!

A bit retro and a bit future, this track has the vibe of a lone soul searching, in the depths of darkness known to only to the final hours of the night, looking for something even darker.

A night sky reveals its depths from behind an infinite curtain. Sparks scatter across the hearth's serenely glowing mantle. An improbable forest rustles at the depth of the season. These are some images that came to mind before and after making this.
