Look Busy RhythmCast 185 - LBC x Rare DJs

Went digging through my records for some of my trance favourites from 1998. This set was heavily influenced by places like The Gallery at Turnmills, Republica at Bakers, GodsKitchen at the Sanctuary, Freedom at Bagleys.

Trance was massive in the UK clubs in 1998. Easy to see why with these tracks. It's hard to believe now, but back then even small towns had a decent club fronted by some quality residents with 'big name' guest DJs headlining each week. You did not have to look very far to find a range of great club nights for maximum weekend mayhem.

Gray is a lover of most forms of electronic / club music. Hailing from London, his big obsession is 90s house and trance, but he also has a love for synth new wave Italo and EBM.
Gray was a fixture in clubs in the 90s across the UK and Ibiza. He is part of a tight collective of people putting on underground nights that recapture the welcoming and carefree vibe of the 90s club scene. He is passionate about vinyl and has a broad collection of 90s house and trance records alongside early synth and new wave sounds.

Pont Neuf REC Radio Show #12

Paris mainstay, Mira Ló, joins us for a 60-minute dive into her Chicago-inspired catalogue in this week's mix. Weaving between House, Nudisco, and Tech House, the mix is a reflection of her identity as an artist. Her debut EP "Memories" came out in April 2023, with Apple Music featuring her in their Women In Electronic series, and she's set to release her next EP in early 2024.

GC096 - Ronald KOON 🇩🇪 

Born in East Germany, Ronald KOON started DJing in 2007. Later he increasingly devoted himself to disco and electronic sounds from 1970s to 1980s and began producing his own music. 

Ronald's sets, which are heavy on edits and presented with eclectic energy, are a mixture of classic and contemporary disco and house. The varied repertoire between jackin', soulful, funky and a touch of UK is always driving, exciting, danceable, always good for a surprise, full of heart and never far from the great voices, grooves, and melodies of the disco era. 

His often avant-garde and mostly tongue-in-cheek outfits round off Ronald's presence behind the decks to a lasting experience. Ronald KOON's releases on smaller international disco and house labels have already received some attention in the scene.
