Dishevelled London Records are back with their first release of 2021 ‘We will meet again’ by Riviera. The label boss returns to the fold with two beautifully smooth Lo-fi house tracks to start 2021 with a more optimistic vibe. ‘We will meet again’ builds with a slick vocal and upbeat percussion before descending into a lovely dream-like melody. ‘Friday night drinks’ captures that weekend feeling, taking you on a funkier trip with haunting vocals and a ‘hands in the air’ dancefloor moment. Long time channel pals, "Who’s Susan" have kindly chucked a lovely DJ Windows XP jam our way from their brand new bi-polar-esque titled EP, "Sometimes I Feel Happy, Sometimes Sad" - I guess operating systems do have feelings after all. After making serious waves off the back of their last release on DJ Haus' imprint, E-Beamz; the Amsterdam duo's second offering demonstrates another, perhaps more considered facet to their production ability - yet retaining their trademarked raw stonk.

Lots of questions are still left to be answered, though. Who really is Susan? Maybe ‘it’ could have been me? At the end of it all though, who cares. Let your synapses turn around the infinite situations, with infinitesimal different angles round and round your brain- what’s gone is gone. Dust to dust.  Stare into the abyss, sink into your cocoon, let the bass drum thud in the back of your throat, the background synths wrap over you, crescendoing into the most alleviating rush. Pretty blissful stuff and certainly not just another jovial 'DJ' pseudonym.

Vienna’s DOS, one of Europe’s premiere Lo-Fi producers, has been making waves these last 12 months with releases on Step Back Trax, Clipp.art and a V/A and EP on Nerang Records. Coming off his latest release on Hadtodoit Records is ‘You’, a dusty emotive Lo-Fi house thumper, with its edged hi-hats slicing through the haze inducing punchy bassline. The gripping synth chords coax memories of the struggles endured in 80’s action movies, while the introspective vocal lay that struggle to rest with its soothing notes. DOS does not disappoint with this one, so make sure to check it out.
