They Came To Break the Silence delivers a riotous collection of mid-60s garage rock, surf-funk grooves, and psychedelic soul grit, all carved into eight tracks of pure, analog defiance.

The Cracked deliver this sonic barrage with reverb-soaked riffs, pulsing backbeats, and vocals that testify like a preacher in a packed basement show. Every song slams with urgency — a raw collision of joy, unrest, and rhythm born from a time when silence was no longer an option.

This isn’t just a record — it’s a declaration. A fuzzed-out, fire-lit soundtrack for the ones who won’t sit still, won’t shut up, and won’t stop dancing.

A-Side Breaks Vol. 3 marks another chapter in a series I’ll be dropping on a regular basis — a steady stream of break-heavy selections designed for dancers who live in that space where rhythm meets instinct.

This volume leans into the raw, percussive energy that powers the breakin’ world: those stripped-down drum sections and groove pockets that DJs stretch out to keep the floor alive. These are the moments breakers train to, build on, and lose themselves in — the fuel behind the footwork, the shapes, the creativity, the flow.
For Vol. 3, I went crate-deep again, pulling out joints that shaped different generations of movement culture. It’s a nod to the roots, a salute to the dancers, and a reminder that the spirit of the break is still beating strong.

And since this series is dropping continuously, expect more heat soon — more rhythms, more textures, more reasons to hit the floor.

Alejandro Baltazar Moreno’s (Alex M) debut EP “New Culture” manages to be simultaneously haunting and childlike. 

The artist pulls inspiration from a multiplicity of cultural anchors- from Marxist class theory to 80’s/90’s video game soundtracks; from Situationist International to social isolation. 
He creates a sound outside of geographic boundaries that projects vibrations meant for a hidden observer at the edge of a dream. 

Alex credits artists like Paul Johnson, New Order, Daft Punk, Kraftwerk, and DJ Deeon as some of his earlier influences that helped shape his sound. 
Despite being from Texas, Alex constructs his own sense of identity through his productions and that is directly reflected throughout his work.
