A friend of mine used to tell me it was her favorite of the songs i’d do w/ the acoustic. How magical a time which travelled with me, how hardly in a tiny little song..

Hi there! My name is Palo D. I am a lover of music, who began making mixes off the radio at 6, buying records at nine, and attending concerts at twelve. My favorite band growing up was Yes, and my favorite individual artist was Billy Joel. 

After listening to an array of musical artists, I began exploring the guitar for chords, in ways and combinations, which sounded different. Improvising lyrics and vocals became mesmerizing, inspired to channel musically evoked emotions.. Assigning each finger to a different string, it felt more natural for me to pick and pluck before trying a pick. 

Learning a bunch of songs by bands such as the Beatles, Dave Matthews Band and Counting Crows went a long way in helping me learn to play and sing together. Playing a song or two by each of an array of artists, and naturally wanting to emulate each of their unique voices, made it so much fun! 

Falling in love with the study of philosophy and writing poems at university, a less than mindful lifestyle made music my practical option. It wasn’t too long before I felt I’d found my voice and developed my own style. 

As that lifestyle progressed, it would eventually lead to haunting experiences. Blessed and grateful to be here, life challenges in the areas of relationships, finances, and fitting into one’s dreams can make being true to oneself a wondrous quest, albeit in the face of adversity. 

To better express beyond a moment’s emotion, life experience has promoted a need to write lyrics, which may stand better if alone, so a deeper understanding of those feelings will hopefully arrive through the gift of song!
