Palo Duro is the droning, pulsating, technicolor universe of Michael Winningham, a Texas born songwriter known for making music in and around Austin for the last two decades, opening for national acts such as Mac DeMarco, Lord Huron, Balmorhea, and many others. 

In Q1 2017, Danger Mouse's new label, 30th Century Records, releases the first single from Palo Duro entitled, Darken the Glow, a kind of William Onyeabor inspired pop song mixing scaling Western African guitars and colorful synthesizers. Produced by Sam Cohen (Kevin Morby, Pavo Pavo), Darken the Glow is just the first taste of a full length record to follow in 2017.
