One of my favourite times to listen to music is after hours.

When you get back to someone’s place and the vibe is anything goes. Nice and loose. Just music.

I love when I get back down the studio in the early hours and listen to random stuff with my friends while talking shit and drinking some kind of paint stripper.

Normally that’s when the weird stuff I buy on vinyl from around the world gets some air. Just one track after another. No frills just thrills.

Been wanting to do some mixes (not mixes) like this for years. But had to wait until the world started back up again as you can’t do after hours or less there is something to be after right?

Anyway here is it is After With Dicky. All from vinyl 45s (not that I give a fuck how people play good music). 

Late night, early morning dub, blissful Brazilian, fantastic funk, cool cumbia, weird Thai shit, spangled soul, Mexican boogaloo, reggae superhero covers, crazy calypso and who knows what the fuck else.

Paris is a city that holds a special place in our musical hearts.  A lot of our favorite music from classical to modern electronic has come from Paris and greater France.  Paris is a city with a lot of history, and its musical impact, in particular all things French Touch, left a lasting impression on us from an early age.  This mix is celebrating that love, through tunes old and new.  It’s full of classics from a lot of French heroes, and also some other tunes that we were getting down to when we spent some time in Paris a few years back. That's what I thought when Flight Facilities told me of there plan to make a months worth of mix tapes, spanning 4 decades, as well as incorporating sound bites of global events of each year sprinkled effortlessly (though no doubt painstakingly) throughout the mixes!

Knowing I'd be up against the antipodean Edit Maestro that is Rocco Raimundo.
I thought I'd try and throw some grunt into what for me was a classic tune from Bowie's Back catalogue and serious jam in it's original format.
