It's the time to gather the next selection of tracks from our quite talented [PAL] residents and friends for another lap. Go take this ride and leap into electronic spheres with us. This time with a heavy focus on local club techno and eastern bloc electro madness, but not missing other marks as well.
After one year of LAP records, we're glad to release some steam and thoughts again and make our »ISSUE« compilation series a regular Christmas present.

As one half of the Amsterdam Duo Cybersexx, Stef de Haan has been shaking the scene of his hometown for quite a while now. His unique approach in fusing elements of various genres like house, techno and dub provides an exciting take on contemporary dance music that can be experienced on his first EP to full extent. Stef matches body-shaking rhythms and grooves with warm synthesizers, accompanied by loopy, sometimes mysterious vocals that add to the overall atmosphere of the track. His signature sound is delivered at a tempo that is rarely seen in this genre and we are more than happy to have his debut EP on the label. Get ready for the summer with the Stef de Haan's GLOOM EP.

Our latest premiere is now online featuring a track titled 'Gaborone West Groove' from our close friend and Lepton head honcho, Ngoni Egan.

Now based in Rotterdam, the Irish artist debuts on United Identities with a five-track EP that pays tribute to his roots, diving into Ngoni's familial heritage in Botswana and explores his sound beyond electro.

After years of practice in the studio, Ngoni's innate skill to blend electro, techno and percussive textures really comes to light on "Re Teng" with 'Gaborone West Groove' in particular rumbling through with a huge bassline and snappy percussion.

Selfness are proud to present Bosman V/A, a 4-track V/A from Usury( Cobber and Sumaele).
This release marks the label`s second physical release, out on 23/09 and available on wax as part of a limited 50-unit run, lathe cut by PhonoLab.

Usury is the shared project of Eora/Sydney’s Cobber, who fronts local label Impetus, and Selfness resident Sumaele, a friendship built across cities and through a shared appreciation for late 90s hard groove and early 00s techno. Charge utilises tribal perc samples and compression pumping offering an insight into the techno/trance they enjoy most on domestic dance floors.
