Donde Voy (Where I Go) - The Daydream

The very first Fivos song I heard on SoundCloud was his beautiful and haunting Nightly Walker.  I asked Fivos to share with me his score so I could at least enjoy playing his Nightly Walker, and at Fivos' urging, I am going to post my version on SC.  

I will not attempt to be Fivos - I could never be as talented as Fivos, and his wonderful songs and playing.  I am just posting this simple and non-improvised version (except the ending) as a tribute to Fivos and as a thank you to all his wonderful music.  He is brilliant and this is just a "junior" version of Nightly Walker that I enjoyed recording.  

Thanks Fivos for the score and for your tremendous talent and music!  Keep on sharing it and we'll keep on listening.

Here comes a shortened version of my brand new improvisation. This one is a bit serious, but I still hope that you like it. I played and recorded it today. Just pure piano performance. Titled "Of Foreign Lands and Peoples", this is the first of 13 movements from the set "Scenes from Childhood", written by Robert Schumann in 1838.

After a break of more than 2 years, I'm back at recording - my first on my third-hand console piano. As much as I miss playing on an acoustic, I am grateful for any keyboard at this moment. 

Recorded on 29th April 2017, three days after the new moon. Played on the Casio Privia PX-110.

In a world of appearances, music is the only thing-in-itself. It is an expression of my metaphysical being, and though it cannot be understood, it must surely be felt.

About Me:
Had my first piano - a Yamaha C108 acoustic upright - and piano lessons when I was seven. Six years later, I was made to quit, so I left the piano and went on to mix records with a mobile disco I co-founded as a teenager. Became a school teacher, and now teaching classical piano privately. My focus is on music interpretation, tone production and technique. 

My other interests and areas of studies are philosophy, sociology, writing, cosmology, quantum mechanics, and reading. My greatest inspirations are J.S. Bach, Kant, Nietzsche, and Einstein (wow, I just realised they're all Germans).
